Launching Actively Managed Certificates with iMaps Capital Markets

Setting Up the Segregated Portfolio
Our solution begins with the creation of a Segregated Portfolio within our wholly-owned subsidiary. By law, each Segregated Portfolio is legally ring-fenced from others, ensuring that assets and liabilities are isolated, protecting investors from cross-contamination risks.
Brokerage Account Setup
The Segregated Portfolio opens an account with one of our selected brokerage partners. These include interactive brokers, Baader Bank, ActivTrades, and Crypto Finance and thus the iMaps Investment Universe includes far over a million financial instruments as well as the largest universe of crypto currencies to select the portfolio of. Asset managers are granted Power of Attorney (PoA) via an Investment Management Agreement, giving them full control to execute their trading strategies within this brokerage account. There is no limit on the number of portfolio rebalancing and those can – for avoidance of any doubt – be done on an intraday basis. Limit orders are accepted on all instruments. The Investment Manager gets direct market access to execute the portfolio allocation and rebalancing.
Issuance of Exchange Traded Instruments (ETIs)
Once the Segregated Portfolio is established and the trading strategy is in place, iMaps Capital Markets issues Exchange Traded Instruments (ETIs) that are directly linked to the performance of the Segregated Portfolio.
Trading on Major Exchanges: The issued ETIs are then listed on the Stuttgart Stock Exchange, the World’s largest exchange for derivative securities and Actively Managed Certificates. This provides asset managers with the opportunity to offer their strategies as tradeable products to a wide range of investors.
Collateralization and Risk Management
To enhance the security of the issued ETIs, the assets in the Segregated Portfolio are pledged to an independent trustee provided by Intertrust Group. This ensures that the credit risk associated with iMaps ETI AG is mitigated through collateralization, providing additional protection for investors.
